Polao is still there. Cook something a little different as a side dish. Make Lucknow Chicken Masala. Apart from polao, it is very enjoyable to eat with naan or roti. This dish is also quite healthy as it contains nuts.
Ingredients:
Chicken meat 500 grams
1 large onion, chopped
Cashew nut paste 2 tbsp
Tomato puree 1/4 cup
Ghee 2 tbsp
Cream 1 tablespoon
4 cloves
Cardamom 3
2 bay leaves
Cinnamon crushed 1 inch
For marinating-
Half a cup of curd
Ginger-garlic paste 1 tablespoon
Garam masala powder 1 tsp
Cumin powder 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Black pepper powder 1 tsp
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Red chili powder 1 tsp
Method of Preparation:
First, marinate the meat. Marinate the meat in the fridge the night before cooking if possible.
Heat ghee in a large pan or saucepan. Then, add cloves, cardamom, bay leaf cinnamon, and salt. Fry them.
Now add the marinated chicken. Cook on low to medium heat. Keep stirring until the chicken changes color.
Add onion, cashew nut paste, and tomato paste. Stir for a while. Then add water.
Keep the lid closed for about 20 minutes. Now stir in the cream. Cook everything together well for about 5 minutes
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve Lucknow Chicken Masala. It goes great with Pollaw.
