Ingredients:
8 pieces of roe fish
Onion batter 5 teaspoons
Ginger 2 tsp
Garlic paste 2 tsp
Turmeric powder 2 tsp
Coriander cumin powder 2 tsp
Cashew nut paste 3 tsp
Sour yogurt 5 teaspoons
2 bay leaves
Cinnamon 2 pieces
Cardamom 2
4 cloves
Tomato paste 3 tbsp
Whole cumin seeds 2 tsp
5 dry chilies
Chilli powder 2 tsp
Mustard oil quantity
Salt to taste
Method of Preparation:
• First wash the fish well and apply little turmeric and salt.
• Then heat mustard oil in a pot and fry the fish for two minutes on both sides. Now keep it in another container.
• Add dry chilies, whole cumin seeds, bay leaves, cinnamon, cloves, and cardamom to the remaining oil. Fry them. Once fried, add onion, ginger, and garlic paste. When these spices are fried, add turmeric powder, chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, cashew nut paste, tomato paste, and sour curd. Now grind it well with salt and water.
• Leave the fried fish in the masala if oil is removed from the masala. Stir the fish for a while. Now cook it on medium heat with enough water. Keep broth as desired. Then serve Rui fish kalia with hot rice.
